This isn't limited to just "the far right ideologue wing of the Republican party."  Liberals do similar things jsut as much.  For every right-winger who wants to ban & punish flag burning or some other form of expression the disapprove of, there is an equal number of liberals who want to enact 'hate speech' laws or something to ban & punish expression which THEY think is 'harmful.'  Both sides are equally guilty of this, don't just point the finger at one.
