SAITAMA — A 13-year-old boy found about 15 million yen in cash floating in an irrigation ditch in Hasuda, Saitama Prefecture, on Saturday, police said.
The boy, who was training with a junior baseball team, found the cache, consisting mostly of 10,000 yen bills, at around 10:30 a.m. and police officers later collected it, they said. If the owner of the money is not found, it will go to the representative of the baseball team in six months in accordance with the law, said an officer at Iwatsuki Police Station. (Kyodo News)

No, Redcream, Americans also do the same thing sometimes with money they found. It's called being nice and doing the right thing. you oughta try it sometimes.

That's funny ... when I tell employers to be NICE and to do the RIGHT THING, they laugh in my face, kick me to the curb, and close the business to reopen it in Mexcio or Indonesia. So, pardon the holy FUCK out of me for taking found money (perfectly legal to keep!) that is largely the fallout from some criminal or corporation, to secure my own future.
"Do the right thing"! What a fucking moron you are!
Silly child.
He should have at least took 10 million for himself

RedCream makes a good point. While it is nice and of being a good samaritan, to turn in money you've found to the authorities, you more likely get punished for your good actions than not. I'm not saying it's right, however a person who does not do criminal activities stumbles upon a brown paper bag full of hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, I believe he earns it more than the sleazy scumbag who made all of it dealing cocaine or something.
You can't tell me that you don't agree at least partially with my sentiment.

So you mean to tell me that you'd rather have the sleazy cocaine dealer keep all of his money while the person who doesn't do such stumbles upon the money and DOES NOT return it to the Police like a good little sheep?

You're getting worse with each new post. What happened to you man? You must be really having an off day. Welp, see ya later RedCream, hope you strike it up big in the Yukon!
