Hello.
I would really like a nice setup of hi-fi, although I have no knowledge of it whatsoever.

What are the things I need to know about? Can you recommend me some products, like turntable or amps? And do I need an amp? Or direct me to some sort of guide or explain basically what the stuff is and why I need it.

make sure you don't cheap out and get a shitty turntable/needle cause it will damage your records. just look up reviews before you make any decisions on things to buy and you should have no problems.

Hey, thanks for the help so far.
Cartridge, is that the needle?

more specifically it's the apparatus that the needle is attached to, but close enough

Approximately how much is it gonna wind up being, the costs? I'd like something like above entry-level Hi-Fi.
How long does a nice setup last? Years? Decades?

price can vary a whole lot, so that depends on what deals you can find and what sort of budget you're dealing with. a good setup should last you decades with proper use, though i'm sure you'll want some upgrades long before that (hi-fi audio can be a huge money sink).

Don't change these.
