No shit, man. The worst part is that now it's gotten to the point where shitposting is so deeply embedded into the board that people are starting to defend it as an enriching or uncontrollable part of the "board culture". It's a broken window effect: something starts out good, gets a little shitty, the shittiness doesn't get fixed, people soon accept it as natural and augment their behavior to fit in with the shittiness, the place gets shittier, the new shittiness doesn't get fixed, and on and on.
This is why we desperately need more moderation, and it's a little ridiculous that we're not getting it.
