Who We Are: Second Line ReBrass is a new non-profit based in New Orleans. We seek to end the cycle of urban poverty and youth violence in our city. To accomplish this goal we are creating a new cycle that produces a positive outcome for our community.
We take recycled brass materials and construct new brass musical instruments (trumpets, trombones, tubas) for NOLA's at risk youth.
Also to create a sustainable system we are training local welders in the art of instrument fabrication, creating new jobs and revitalizing the local economy.
How you can get involved: Currently we are in a contest to win 10K for our organization, but need votes to win. We're only 200 away from 1st place and every single vote does make a HUGE difference.
