New progression cliches

I'm getting kind of bored with many of the progression cliches I'm familiar with. Obviously I-IV-V and I-vi-IV-V grew stale long ago but even rhythm changes and the venerated ii-V-I and its permutations are wearing thin with me. Does anyone have other common progressions to share?

Experiment with VIIb, IIIb, VIb.

I-IIIb-VIb-VIIb, for instance

what about the one where there are no progressions, it's just one tone all the way across...  Hell yeah.. all hard and edgy!
