I've been messing about in audacity , Garageband (Ugh, only thing available at the time, blame the high school years), and another DAW I can't remember the name of, for about three years, and i'm about ready to try and make a finished product.  I'm looking for a new one, as audacity isn't really what i'm looking for.  Any suggestions?

Abelton if you want a more live feel.
Pro Tools if you want  to spend over 9000 dollars on shit.

FL Studio if you want lifetime updates, tons of features, and easy to use.

And not on a mac

Ableton, Logic. ProTools only if you want to bring it around to other studios

fl often gets bagged out because it's easy to use but it's also very powerful too so I'd reccomend it. the only downside is that it's shit at recording audio.

real producers use max/msp though hehe
