ENYA

I have been listening to nothing but Enya for the past few days. Her music can be so ethereal and dreamy.

Any suggestions for similar music? I tried Last.fm but the ones they suggested were no good. I want music that will help me feel like I am lost in an enchanted forest in a fantasy world.

Try Bjork's earlier albums.

Jorane is pretty cool, and stars of the lid.

This. First heard Massive Attack's "Mezzanine" when walking through Glasgow at 4am, and again whilst stoned. Brilliant.

My Bloody Valentine do dreamy music. Bjork, Massive Attack, Portishead, Brian Eno and the other artists mentioned in this thread definitely do not sound anything fucking like Enya by anybody's estimate, apart from that of the clearly deaf and retarded posters.

Clannad. Also try listening to the thistle and shamrock on NPR
