Dubstep creation

    hey /mu/
i have been wondering for awhile now how to create some drum'n'bass and dubstep
I'm more into dubstep at the moment.

I'm not into the whole "omg its so cool to make dum and bass and make a shit myspace and show all your friends" like all the emo kids do nowadays to feel needed.

I just want to practice creating some beats etc etc.
and eventually when i have some im pleased with (aswell as friends) try get it into the local area..

So back to my main question.
Which programs/equipment would i need for production and which programs/equipment would i need for playing live.

Baring in mind i'm only 16 so money is very limited (£200 lol :/)

obviosuly the live equipment/programs can wait for a few months till i get cash and some tracks im pleased with.

    thanks in advance /mu/

    tl;dr: programs/equipment to make dubstep/drum'n'bass with £200 budget

Consider using Reason, it's all-in-one, easy to learn, and can be used as a synth using ReWire so you can keep using it if you start using another tool. Also, get this ReFill to kickstart your sample collection: http://www.reasonrefills.com/260db.html

I started making music 3 years ago with a Reason + M-audio Ozone rig and I think it was a good choice, although I usually do not make DnB because I'm not a faggot.
