Emo is good, why does nobody like it?

What does everyone have against emos and their music? I love emo music, and I'm sort of emo, yeah i cut myself, but my grandad died so... :(

28, dashboard isn't emo actually. And MCR and FOB are pop-punk, which is marketed to kids so perhaps they could cut their teeth on real punk down the line.

Real emo bands include: Moss Icon, Dag Nasty, and Mohinder.
