WEll, just what is the weirdest band/album you ever heard?

Mine has to be Mr. Bungle's 'rape-tastic' Disco Volante LP.

Please, share your opinions with the class

I have never heard of either but will check them out. :D

So anyway, I still stick with Bungle. Mike Patton's a demi-god.

george harrison made a solo record called "electronic sound" i do believe. its literally moog synth noises for about 8 mins, pretty weird. barely "music"

John Cage, awesome composer, check him out. VERY outside the box

karlheinz stockhausen (mighta spelt that wrong) another awesome composer, very challenging stuff.

Spookie Daly Pride, hands down.  All of the songs that I heard revolved around getting and or being high.  Trippy shit.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band, that is far weirder than Disco Volante I have to say, although I think I prefer DV.

I recently discovered Jandek. He is strange...stranger still he has recorded 50 CDs of music in the last thirty years and they can be purchased on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.com

Jandek sounds like someone wringing out a cat very slowly while mumbling blues like lyrics

I'd have to agree with Mr. Bungle; also Mike Patton's more popular band, Faith No More, is pretty damn unique. Also lots of prog rock and industrial is pretty bizzarre. Gotta love the different shit.

Isn't he that douche bag that held a concert and just sat there silently while "the music of life that surrounds us" played.

The Mars Volta IS wierd... but I like them.

I think the wierdest music I have ever heard is Major Tom by David Bowie... wierd... but great at the same time.

I once heard an experimental 1940's composition called Poem Electronique which was made entirely of electronic noise.  It was terrifying.

Don't change these.
