I need a good ambient-fuck

Name: Anonymous 2007-04-19 11:29 ID:AoQiK3Ku

It's been a long, long time since I last laid down in a dark room with headphones on and listened to some good ambient music, the kind that makes your brain conjure visions and reveries even as your eyes are open, and all assumptions of the real world around you melt away from the sound alone.

I have $400 to spend.  Recommend me anything that fits this description.

For reference, some of my favorites of what I currently have are:

Future Sound of London - Lifeforms
Bola - Fyuti  (I intend on buying every Bola album I can get my hands on in this purchase, btw)
Legion of Green Men - Spatial Specific
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 2 (even though this gives me awakened nightmares in the dark)
The Orb - Orbvs Terrarvm
Harold Budd - The Room, and his Luxa album is great too

Ah yes, The Pearl is what got me into both Eno and Budd.  That's the CD I always put in when I drive in the rain.

Anything by Lustmord

Lustmord, hell yes. Theres some old/rare Porcupine Tree stuff that's waaaaay out there. Be careful, some of it's pop rock. But theres trippy ass shit on the b-sides. Look for Voyage 34, Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape, Moonloop...
