No, not everyone chooses Indie bands to be, "unique". I like what they have to say, they cover matters that aren't as simple that most other stupid bands like Blink182 or whatever do, like for example, The Strokes or Rilo Kiley (who are amazing).
Somebody post really good Indie bands that they love so I can listen to them@_@

Okay, even though I love so-called "indie", it's not a fucking genre. Hell, it's not even to do with the labels.
One of the biggest indie bands on earth, Sonic Youth, has been on a major for almost 20 years now. The Decemberists are on Capitol, so're Interpol, and the list just goes on like that.
Meanwhile shit like Panic at the Disco is on an indie label, but that doesn't mean they sound anything like, say, the Arcade Fire.
Indie isn't a genre, stop calling it one.
Also Bright Eyes sucks. "Real true poetry" my ass. You want poetry, go pick up a TV on the Radio record.
