Video Game type music

Any bands that make songs that sound like they could be the BGM for old school NES/Arcade, Final Fantasy or Megaman games?  Almost any video game, really; anything that sounds like Nobuo Uematsu, Koji Kondo, or the like.

And no, NOT fucking DragonForce.

By the way, mellow music is good too.  Stuff like the BGM of FF6, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana 2 are appreciated as well as rocking battle themes.

I'd suggest you actually go into the depper areas of digital music, especially those composed for commercial games, Square RPGS and Koji Kondo really make up the more mediocre side of the genre, there is really way better stuff out there in a more massive volume than what you're considering here to be the cream of it.
