So I hear all the kids like this band nowadays. What do I need to know to have a conversation with a HIM fan? So far I've looked up the terms "heartagram," "love metal," and "it's way before emo so it doesn't count."

I saw HIM live over the summer at a large festival (with decent acts like tv on the radio) and I have to say it was one of the most boring performances I have ever seen.

Well, they're a weird kind of "emo". They sing about heartbreak, but like it's a good thing, and in a happy, warm way(no generic punk rock). I like them mostly because of the warmth in Ville's voice, it really expresses feeling through the song.
