Ska = emo = sux.

Ska = Emo?  Are you the stupidest person alive?  Whatever.

If you want real Ska, try Hepcat.  For thirdwave stuff, I love Big D and the Kids Table, as well as Pain.  Forces of Evil are good as well.

Doesn't have a clue what ska is.

Try some of the originals before listening to the newer stuff - but you'll have to dig back to the 1960s for it.

One thing ska-ish that I listen to is Sublime.
I don't really know any older ska.

and if you read carefully, I never said that only the old stuff is good - I only meant that as it's a very old genre it's a good idea to sample the beginnings before getting the up-to-date stuff so you have a better idea of where it's coming from.

I'm truly in love with where's it is going, though. I started this tipic, by the way.

Yes, the old stuff is great but the new stuff is just fucking amazing. Catch 22 and Streetlight Manifesto have created some of the best music I have heard in my entire life...no wonder the bands are connected but anyways...I'm going to stop rambling

They were definately better with Tom, but Alone In The Crowd was rather good, and Tom didn't have any collaboration with that album. And their new CD is quite impressive, just not all that great to listen to :/

Buelah and the apples in sterio are sort of like ska.

The Apples in Sterio sound alot like early beatles if you are into that sort of thing.
