I make MIDIs on my computer
but I want to get into the techno-trance style
But I don't know what program I should download

ANything will help guys..
Tutorals fruity loops will help to if you can't find anything?
Depends... MIDI files, after all, only contain instructions that can make various electronic devices make various sounds. However, usually, soundcards don't make any cool noises when they get instructions from midi files, no matter how good well the song itself is constructed.
That said. I like csound - it's where programming and making music meet. Instead of working with an awkward GUI and the limitations of a particular program and various VTS and other plugins, I have the ability to make csound do anything... as long as I can express what I want in its scripting language.
So basically I am temporarily back in my country somewhere in Asia. This country has millenia of culture and tradition that the Americans couldn't even dream about. (fixed)
oh and theres real hip hop , not just american shit , about "gunz & hoez"

I make lots of music but mostly it's just for me to listen to although I have been asked to release one of my projects on split 7" but that's just for a laugh.

I AM A FRONT MAN IN A BAND CALLED GREEN DAY AND WE ARE TRUE PUNK ROCKERS
This thread fails for not mentioning any proper producing programs or equipment..
Then again, the guy who started it is making "techno-trance" midis.. lol..

I created a couple dozen songs in Fruityloops years ago, some of which I personally thought wasn't that bad, but I have stopped making music since then.
For music producing software, I have tried out Propellerheads Reason 3.0, which is hard as shit to figure out but it supposibly works quite nicely for music producers. I would also look into software by Steinberg or Native Instruments.

>>26 hard as shit to figure
What? It's very simple. I can't think of a single thing that is especially complicated in it.
A program thats like garageband for windows is flstudio, you can get it at www.flstudio.com, I reccomend getting goldwave, however I know how to use it, you probably wont, I also use acid, like I said, you wont now how to use it- I consider the team of goldwave and acid 5.0 the photoshop of sound.
Flstudio is alright, its alot better if you have a midi controller.
the hell are you talking about? I never said it was good or bad - just that it's easy to use. As a matter of fact I think it's shit too, but that's nothing to do with anything. Learn to read, dumbfuck.

i've been experimenting with FL Studio 6 for a couple of months, with nothing more than about a gig and an a half of drum samples i've collected over the years.
previously i was working with a non-computer setup consisting of the following:
kawai k4 (keyboard)
roland mc-09 (good for trance melody/bassline stuff)
yamaha rx-5 (good drum programmer, some good sounds)
kawai xd-5 (drum synth)
proteus/1 (synth)
mc-202 (analog synth)
q-80 (hardware sequencer, main hub of everything)
roland boss delay pedal
ibanez distortion pedal
recorded to sony cassette deck
at some point i will integrate fl studio 6 into the rest of this setup.
