For some good jazz check out John Zorn. He's also done some stuff with Yamantaka Eye, who is not a jazz musician, and it turned out really well.

The Dave Holland Quartet's Conference of the Birds is a great album, as are most things involving Anthony Braxton, Keith Jarrett is also brilliant.
