How can I learn to stop enjoying music?

What if you really enjoy some music, but learn afterwards that it is very gay and you are a stupid emo fag for enjoying it? If killing yourself is not an option, how can you stop enjoying it honestly? Thanks.

just stop listening to it and listen to different music. After a few months you'll find you don't like emo music any more. It also works the opposite way: if you want tolike a certain kind of music listen to it and eventually you will.

or, you could listen to it over and over and over, constantly, until you get so sick of it that you start hating it.  listen to it in your sleep, in the shower, on your breaks at school or lunch, everywhere.

I'd start by really wondering if you hate it because you "should" or because you do.  I used to like Atreyu, then eventually grew to dislike it.. a lot.  I asked myself if it was because of this anti-emo counterwave thing, and I decided it was simply because it didn't mean anything to me... they were yelling about nothing.  Doesn't change the fact that I still like FATA though.

This thread fails for serious replies. That's stupid to want to stop enjoying something because other people don't.
