Seen a few. But they kinda got stuck in the '80s hair-metal era.

CHAIRMAN MAO is a pretty good chinese rock band. If you're into chinese rapcore metal, you might remember that song from a couple years back about Tiananmen square. It created a commotion because it made fun of the people who died there, and even mocked the famous scene where the guy stood in front of a tank in their music video. Their newest lyrics are a little too right-wing for most people's tastes, including me, but their music is pretty good.

Oh man, Chairman Mao is fucking hard!  I love the chorus for "Tianamen Square."  They have become pretty right-wing, especially  with that Tianamen Square song, but their music is pretty catchy and really gets you pumped up.

I went to a Chairman Mao concert on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, it was crazy.  It ended up getting broken up by the police after the bassist threw a firecracker into the audience, and a huge fight started.  They even played while the fight was going on and yelled into the crowd to fight more.

Seconding Jay Chou here, but it's good to read the translated lyrics if you can't read Chinese. Not quite relaxing but some very nice tunes.
