Organ rock?

Name: Anonymous 2006-01-12 5:49

So, I was playing through Star Ocean 3 again, and was wondering if there are any bands out that have heavy organ use in rock like many of the SO3 tracks (Battle theme mainly.)It just seems like a really cool addition that I hadn't heard before. Many thanks

I think that it is mostly used in soundtrack musics...
Maybe in 70's rock opera?

Isn't progressive rock like stoners making music about epic medieval battles?

The (International) Noise Conspiracy is actually a punk-rock/garage-rock band from Switzerland (I believe) that's sorta known for having an organ.  The music doesn't really revolve around the organ, and there's no keyboard wankery like Yes (which I dig) or ELP (which I dont dig).  It's just chord drones, and maybe a hook here or there.  It's cool.

Just look into the progressive rock bands from 1970s.

Don't change these.
