What do you guys use to download music? BT is good for complete albums, but i'm looking for individual songs. Since Winmix is out, i don't have anyother way to get them.

agreed; really, it's a windows ui for the GiFT p2p client daemon. connects to fasttract, gnutella, openft [the gift network], and ares currently, so it's pretty easy to find what you want; UI is clean, no ads; open-source, I think

DirectConnect++ only if you have 500+ gigs of music to share and at least 40kbps upload.  otherwise, forget about it.

500 gigs is a heavy exaggeration, but you should have at least 5 gigs of music and maybe 10 gigs of other stuff to get into decent hubs (hub = server, DC is relatively non-centralised - my school even ran a DC hub two years ago). 40kbps upload is okay, forget about it if you've got below 30.
