Anyone can recommend any tunes/albums that have good electric or acoustic guitar in it?

two musicians that are often classified as modern guitar gods.
Buckethead (a lot of weird but good shit)
Yngwie Malmsteen (metal riffs and such, but also does classical music)

there's "perfectly executed guitar work", and then there's artistry, which confuses or mystifies things, making it more interesting. Just bear that in mind.
Word. There's nothing worse than deifying technically brilliant, but utterly soulless music.

Pretty much anything by Joe Satriani.
Engines of Creation is more electronica though, but still great in it's own right.

i know, i know, sounds shit. this isn't though, it's an amazingly beautoful instrumental track that sticks out like a sore (but in a good way) thumb.
noone mentioned steve vai, or john petrucci. Petrucci is usually about technique, but alot of the stuff from awake, and that era are pretty musical, and some is almost jazzy
