Hello mom!

Man, none of the girls think it's cool when I say I like Classical over whatever the hell bullshit trash they're listening to.  Why do they hate Classical so much?

Classical music you have to actually LISTEN to in order to enjoy it.  Pop crap you can just zone out and have it waft in one ear and out the other with no effort.

It's because they don't know how to appreciate real music. Can they ever get sick of those pop crap?

I don't know. I do listen to mainstream music sometimes (though I don't touch rap even with a six-foot pole) but classical really does relax me.
And if someone says that classical is too light, I'd suggest them to shut the fuck up, remove the crap from their ears and listen again. I've never ever heard as heavy sounds as a symphony orchestra can play when the song is good enough.
(Beethoven's fifth, Bach's toccata in d minor and those are good. And common.)

It also helps that classic CDs are about the only ones still mastered with a decent dynamic range.

Not only does it pack more of a punch where it counts, you can actually listen to it for over an hour without major fatigue.

That's because Classical IS FOR FUCKKING NITWIT NERD-WHORES WHO THINK THEY KNOW SOMETHING!!!

Nobody actually likes classical.  They just say they appreciate it to impress each other.  "Oh!  I like vivaldi!  That makes me smart!"  BULL FUCKING SHIT BUTTY!

nah, you're overreacting. it's "slow" music. you can't just digest it in 30 seconds and move on to the next song. there is a lot of cool music out there, the problem is, you'd never know it unless you had a Master's in Musical Chairs.

I heard this Bach piece for 3 harpsichords a long time ago (freaking 18th century metal, dude!) and I still haven't managed to find the source. I have asked around but nobody who knows classical music knows what I'm talking about. coincidence or conspiracy? you be the judge!

(I *really* fucking despise Vivaldi, if that makes you feel better)

the reason people dont like classical is because it lacks the instant gratification that modern music has, it doesnt have the catchy lyrics and listening to 3-5 minutes of it lacks the total effect because for the most part music used to be written as a single piece and was meant to be listen to as a whole, as compaered to a music video on TRL

People don't seem to have time to just sit down and listen to music.

Can anyone reccomend some good performers? Or is the only thing that matters the composer?

Andres Segovia
Narcisco Yepes
Francisco Tarrega

Top three: Beethoven, Bach, Monteverdi.

Anyone like the Renaissance composers?

I've rather liked some Back works too, but I can't listen to his style for long because it starts to retardize the brain. One ever interesting for me has been Sibelius.

Bach*

Don't change these.
