How could Happy Hardcore be the Eurobeat of Drum&Bass when happy hardcore and dnb aren't even in the same genre?  And what's with the discussion of speed metal and shit?  The original author is talking about happy hardcore and the old school rave.  Personally I think happy hardcore is pretty tight.  Sure it may sound childish and what-not but it's the most successful hardcore genre and you can still enjoy it without turning into a candy kid.  As far as artist go, I prefer the old school guys like Bang!, Dune, etc.
