I listen to shit from all over the experimental electronic spectrum, and way too much for me to ever come up with a conclusive list.

I'll also take this time to spam my flashmusicblogthing, which I don't believe I've linked here yet: http://m.0x0021.org/
It has a lot of IDM in there, and in fact, almost every artist listed in this thread thusfar is on there.

I also make AMVs (Anime Music Videos) of IDM crap, since David Violence doesn't anymore :)

I've been looking for more Ill Cosby since I heard the remix of/by him on Enduser's From Zero. Haven't come across anything though.
I really need to listen to AD&D more often.

I should have realized/remembered who you posted as on 4chan.

I guess my fav of IDM would have to be Kid606.  Aphex Twin is really good, though I actually like the Selected Ambient albums the most.  Jega is really good as well, and Matmos (who I believe is under Kid606's label Tigerbeat6 currently).

jega - kid sista is a very pretty track

Name: W.T. Snacks !TcT.PTG1.2 2005-01-31 21:19

For a while I couldn't really dig Jega's Spectrum, mainly because the opening track, Phalanx, was way too trancy for my tastes. The entire album as a whole is good though, and it's grown on me since.

The new Jega leaked to the net, but I've avoided downloading it because it's an unfinished and unmastered copy. I heard from a friend who has met him that he was rather pissed about the leak, because he wasn't very happy with the state of the album at that time.
I look forward to the full version soon though.

'brads garden maintenance' is the highlight of spectrum imo, i think i blew a tweeter on it once... though admittedly on the whole its an easy listener

WTSnacks, do you know which one it was that was leaked?

BOC is almost as emo as electronic can get, up there with The Postal Service (haha Ben Gibbard).

DNTEL got more emo with DREAM OF EVAN AND CHAN. even though it's technically a postal service song. not to mention really pretty, too.

I think Life Is Full Of Possibilities was just leading up to The Postal Service, especially when you hear his previous solo albums. A stepping stone into electronic indie pop.
I've heard the new Postal Service album is disappointing, I wish he'd go back and do another solo album.

did you just bump a 5 and a half year old thread for this?

Name: Anonymous 2011-02-06 6:23

one word: christophe de babalon

he did "if you're into it, i'm out of it" (gotta love that tone) a dark haunting piece of work.

now i'm listening to a world of my own... sound a bit more jazzy than his earlier work (i think he has been influenced by venetian snares in this regard), but he hasn't given up on his steady onslaught of broken beats.

Don't change these.
