Chinese pop/rock.

Anyone listen to Chinese pop/rock? I started listening to: Chet Lam, Tai Tau Fat, my little airport, At17, Candy Lo, f.i.r., and the occassional Sam Hui or Jacky Cheung (love his voice).  I'm also looking into some Beijing rock punk metal stuff, and still looking at the HK indie scene.

I would think that, because if what you're asking is true, China's underground scene would be mad hawt.

...You have to take into account the amount of pirated CDs, VCDs, DVDs, etc., currently in China.  There's virtually all kinds of music (and film) flooding their markets.  "Banned" music is probably easily available to the Chinese public.

(I'm just spewing crap here.)

Okay..  Surprised no one has gone "like OMG jay chou the 1337 <333!!!11" or something.

Here's some more Chinese "indie" (not so mainstream): Gayamyan, the pancakes, King Ly Chee, UNiXX, The Marshmallow Kisses, my little airport, SEASONS Lee, Dylan Art, inLOVE, Sanskrit..

Sorry, but he asked for chinese "pop/rock", so I told him a band.

I wouldn't call Silver Ash (or other visual bands) as "pop/rock".  Using the term "pop/rock", I would think of mainstream popular artists.  "Pop/rock", leaning on the rock side, would be more like..  BEYOND - a band that everyone (or mostly everyone, who listens to C-music) knows.  But since the poster listed indie artists, I guess Silver Ash would go here........

Jay CHOU OMGGG INCOMParable tourrr.  Why do all the (big) chinese singers go to Reno or that casino on the east coast?  Can't they come to a normal venue by my house?

Do New York, San Francisco, Toronto and other areas where there's a large Chinese community have concerts with the big artists?  I wouldnt mind seeing Hacken and Alan on a stage here.

Don't change these.
