Dear Diary

It was actually worse than I predicted:
Not only is my base being bombarded with meteorites, but they also make the base catch fire, and if you don't have fire extinguishers in the burning room, all your crew will come running to run around aimlessly in the gigantic fire and burn to death. It's a worse magnet of death than a hull breach or the vortex monster. This fire will also eat up the oxygen, and no airlock doors in the world works against these kinds of air leaks.

...so they just added random fire outbreaks that you can't even predict or prevent, because they figured that we needed more of that. I shouldn't even have started the game up, but I figured that I could at least build the new gym. Didn't happen. Didn't have time to do that before my entire crew burnt to death. It was as if somebody decided to launch volleys of napalm against the base.

I shouldn't even have hopes for the next update, at this rate. I should just forget about playing this for a year or so. I paid a stupid amount of money for this game, and so far it looks like the finished product will be some sort of Facebook Sims game. How the fuck can you manage to screw up all these game concepts? How can you turn a space game into Facebook, a survival game into a playground for children, and horror games into shooters? Why don't you get games, developers?

Is this a continuation of the original "dear diary" thread on /lounge/ from circa 2007 (since deleted)? Does anybody remember that?

such truth beyond all other truths. I still cry sometimes when I think back to Dead space 3. They raped that game and people actually paid money to watch it get raped.

Was it the one about the zombie apocalypse, or the one about the guy living with sick animals? I don't see the similarities between that and playing DF-9.

The sick animals one was on /vip/.

Don't change these.
