hey i have a question and my monitor failed today and is stuck with all the lights on at a black screen and won't turn off or anything weird huu but im trying to use a laptop as a monitor to use temporarily and my desktop has windows 7 professional and laptop has windows 8 but I was wondering why the connection to the laptop is not coming up with my desktop screen instaid of the laptop ??? I have that weird blue cord extension like you would hook a monitor up too but it's hooked to the laptop how to I get it to display my desktop ??
