I will elucidate on this further by saying that anime conventions should only be used as a backdrop (or rather, excuse) to meetup with people online and not be involved at all in the convention itself. This is what slightly abnormal normal people do. Speaking of which, we never did have that "Let's have an /lounge/ meetup!" that Milkribs yammered about before he was bricksocked. I consider it a lost opportunity.
