Thought it would be kind of funny, controversial too, and stir those emotions but really it is all bullshit.
Slavery was an abomination, you don't even have to be a liberal, I believe that we should thank scientists in Britain for the end of slavery because it was mainly the economic changes new technology brought about which led to the end of slavery. Though politics and ideology helps speed up the process, slavery would have ended a few decades later whether or not they did anything.
