I'll be dumping information about possible regrouping websites and other stuff. Also we can use this thread to discuss where we're going next.

Sorry for my lack of activity in the past month.

Due to a combination of real-life issues and other reasons, I am no longer going to be able to operate 4chon.

If possible, I would like to pass 4chon onto somebody who sees its value and is optimistic about its future. Otherwise, sorry, but I cannot maintain 4chon any longer.

Assuming the site actually does go down (STI is looking for someone to run it and anyone can download a copy of Tinyboard so we might still be on the same domain with the same software and everything. If there are interruptions, we should probably stick with uboachan and stormchan, rather than coming back here.

And I want to commemorate again those who helped 4chon tremendously, but are no longer with us:

Wingo (1989-2011) did so much for the community, hosting and administrating the original R9K minecraft server while battling cancer. He was a very cheerful and funny person, despite the circumstances, and was one of the first visitors to 4chon. He passed away at just 21-22.

Tzif (1992-2012) was by far /new/'s greatest moderator and much more. Although I never really had a personal friendship with Tzif, we had many brief conversations and I respected him dearly. A very smart bloke with a great sense of humor, he was studying International Security and Intelligence at Bellevue University. Tzif passed away one night on 4chon due to a very unfortunate event which I'm sure you're all aware of. He was only 19.

I agree completely, this thread is only so we can reach out to people on 4chan. It will also preserve the information we need for re-grouping in an easy to reach spot.
