Rash of tuba thefts continues in LA

Tubas continue to be stolen from Los Angeles schools.  The tubas cost thousands of dollars each.  So two things surprise me.  That the theives haven't finished stealing all the tubas yet, and that Los Angeles schools have so much money that they have instruments that cost thousands of dollars.  My school never had any fuckin' tubas.

That's quite clever. Other expensive equipment like computers have all sorts of crazy locks and alarms. But you could pretty much just walk into a school looking sharp, and walk out with six or seven tubas.
