I remember playing one that had a drone string that didn't start till the fifth fret, was weird having a tuning peg halfway down the neck.

I used to have a cd of Bela Fleck entitled The Bluegrass Sessions: Tales From The Acoustic Planet but the only track I recall is the Overgrown Waltz. Beautiful song.
