rudeness on the image sci board

I have observed a disconcerting rudeness level on that board.  The loutishness includes dick waving amongst students about how their field of study is more worthy of respect, anger directed to anyone looking for aid with a homework problem, peculiar repetitions of anti-athiest/non-standard representation of the number one in decimal form with nines/foreskins/anti-evolution threads, and ugly overuse of putatively quoted green text that is merely a snarky parody of someone else's writing.  As I visit that board, I may take a minute to admonish an imp or two now.

Siiiigh. You did a very good job of defining the issues plaguing that place, OP. I also find myself tempted to go to the pol image board sometimes to discuss politics but I'm always confronted with those same problems + pictures of interracial porn. There is no board on 4chan to get interesting discussions on interesting issues. All we have is News for VIP, and that board doesn't really have the highest possible news standards.

That place is horrible. And also: good job moot ,you flaming homosexual, for killing /sci/ a decent textboard community.

Where they quickly succumbed to the posting habit OP mentions. Good riddance to those idiots - I just visited /sci/ the textboard and it's looking less retarded than it has in years. The sheer number of idiots in this world makes interesting content inversely proportional to the amount of activity.
