You can access them from the main site with frames, like >>3 said. The textboards are pretty inactive; nobody cares about old-fashioned BBSes anymore. The upside of this is that it's possible to actually have conversations, as opposed to in, say, /b/.

But really, the 4chan text boards stopped being interesting a long time ago.
