So what is this text board and how do i acces it from the main 4chan site, and are the text boards wery active or inactive, and what can you use them for compared to the images boards what are it's pros compared to the image board.

You can access them from the main site with frames, like >>3 said. The textboards are pretty inactive; nobody cares about old-fashioned BBSes anymore. The upside of this is that it's possible to actually have conversations, as opposed to in, say, /b/.

But really, the 4chan text boards stopped being interesting a long time ago.
