This is why these types of interfaces should only belong on tablets and smartphones.

Did they fix the word wrap bugs in Notepad yet? Some of these bugs are old enough to vote by now. These pricks are like textbook publishers. Instead of correcting the errors in an existing edition, they fuckin' rearrange the chapters, put in garish illustrations everywhere and that's the new edition.

Lol, Notepad. I remember when the biggest complaint about it was you couldn't open a file larger than 64k. Now what was that all about?

Windows 8 looks like absolute shit. I think I used the preview for about half an hour, tops.
The new interface is fucking gay. I hate how it's hard to close a program, instead shit just minimizes to the background. Thanks annoying sound from other programs.
Windows seven is the next windows xp. Will be used for ten years by everyone. Surely everyone knows this.

Windows 8 wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that they pretty much force Metro on you.
There are actually quite a lot of new really nice features, such as new copy dialogue options, new more efficient prompts for dealing with copying duplicate files, etc... but the stupid tablet shit is really holding it back.
And holy fuck, the boot time is so fast. Even on a 5400RPM WD Caviar Blue, Windows 8 booted up as fast as Win7 with an SSD. It's fucking amazing.
Windows 8 will be a flop, but hopefully the next release will be good -- I really hope they'll retain the few good new features of Win8 and get rid of the shitty ``ooh shiny touch interface and tiles'' shit.

A couple other things I forgot to add:
-better hardware detection right off the bat
-no start menu? wat
-the squarish theme looks nicer than the overly-rounded default Win7 theme, but I just installed a Win8 theme for my Win7 install
-ribbon menus are shit, stop fucking with explorer
-new task manager and resource monitors are really cool

I saw the task manager and quite frankly, didn't like it. But yeah, so many good things about win8, yet they have to force that tablet touchy thingy on us. And no start menu.
