Honestly, the trip key should be randomized per thread, no one should be able to carry the same trip into another thread, mods and admins have no use for static trips because they can slap ##Mod and ##Admin onto their shit.

Tripcodes were made specifically for in-thread identification, mainly of the thread starter, so to have the trip key be a static global is a just plain oversight.

You have too much of a Wapanese mindset, Anonymous-kun. Unfortunately tripcodes began the way they did in the West, so that's how they'll continue to be used. I even vaguely remember something like "Use a tripcode to protect your identity!" being on every page. Ultimately the community decides how things are used, so you need to have a bit of a paradigm shift on this. Just because 4chan did not invent tripcodes does not mean its users do not have a say in how tripcodes are used on 4chan.
