"Two seconds prior to touchdown, an aural warning, 'retard, retard,' was issued by the flight's computer system, advising the pilots to 'retard' the thrust lever to the recommended idle or reverse thrust lever position."
To elaborate, there was a terrible air crash in Brazil in 2007. First, understand that one of the ways that pilots can slow down the plane upon landing is to set the thrust of the engines to reverse. Now, one of the engines had a bad reverse thruster, and so the pilot would only have the use of one of the two engines' reverse thrust. Inexplicably, the pilot put one of the engines to reverse thrust mode, AND LEFT THE OTHER ENGINE IN CLIMB MODE with full forward thrust, as if somehow a faulty reverse thrust component meant in his mind that he didn't have to put the other engine down to idle. He left the fuckin' thing in full forward! Naturally, the plane veered sideways off the runway, because one side of it was in forward, and the other in reverse.
Dubs? Nothing wrong with them as long as you get the right voice actors in. Nothing worse than when you end up with an abomination like the dub work in Shenmue II.
