Buddhism

So here's my understanding of Buddhism. Buddha was a prince who left his princely life to search the end of dukkha(suffering/dissatisfaction/etc). He meditated and then found that in order for one to cease the dukkha, he must first understand the problem. He understood that dukkha was caused by unnecessary attachment to the illusory self/ego. He understood that inorder to get rid of it, you must have the right attitude/understanding/concentration/etc of the world view. He also understood that understanding those alone wont help and that you must also realize it(meditate).

How close am I to Buddhism?

One day when Budda was walking down the road, somebody hit him in the face.
Buddas nose hurt, and he asked why this stranger had hit him.
"Because I like hitting stupid people." said the stranger.
"But it is not nice to other people." said Buddha.
"Fuck you!" said the stranger, and hit Budda in the face a second time. Now Buddas nose suffered even more.
"Stop hitting me!" Budda exclaimed.
"Is it your desire that I stop? That wouldn't be nice to me." said the stranger.
...and Budda was enlightened, and spent his whole day getting punched in the face by Laozi, founder of taoism.
