XKCD Killing Spree

I've read a lot about groups of people imitating the author of XKCD because he comes up with so clever and exciting stuff.
I read this today:

A chin-up bar in an escalator, you say?
You know, there are lots and lots of people who could thank you for this idea, like the kids from the Columbine or the V-Tech massacre, or Breivik. You don't need to go all the trouble of getting a gun for this one.
I'm not into killing sprees at all, but the convenience store where I live is four stories high, hollow, and with escalators running across it. During christmas a simple chinup bar or two, could kill a lot of people. There would be no escape, and they would fall 4 stories and probably crush people below them as well.
...and what is the people going to do? Ban chin-up bars as lethal weapons? They're much easier to make than guns. Who blow yourself up with explosives to promote Islam, if you just need a chin-up bar and an escalator.
...so XKCD, maybe you outdid yourself here.
