[Potential Suicide] What's up with that?

Name: Anonymous 2011-08-02 20:56

I'm going to help a Japanese girl pass her driving test tomorrow by taking her out on local roads and letting her drive my car.

Good idea? Bad idea? Tips?

Just let her drive around in an empty school parking lot for starters, then once she's comfortable, start with local (reasonably speed limited) roads.

Get her used to driving your stick shift.

And by "driving", I mean "sucking", and by "stick shift", I mean "penis".

I was planning on the parking lot idea first but she says she has an international license (which, I'm assuming, means shit in America) so I'm fairly confident she knows her way around a car.

And, because she first petitioned me to help her without any effort on my part, this might be a clever ruse to suck my dick. I'm keeping my mind open and my fly...opener.

Three seconds with Google: http://www.usa.gov/Topics/Foreign_Visitors_Driving.shtml If she's residing for a while, apparently it'll take "several months". Check with your state's motor vehicle department, obviously.

She's only been here for 2 months, so I'll try to clarify whether or not she's actually begun the process. Obviously she knows she needs a US licence (she wouldn't have asked me to help otherwise), I just don't know if she knows how to go about acquiring one.

At any rate, you don't need a license to drive in a parking lot. So I'll start from there.

I just checked and found this:

"The United States signed an agreement with many other countries to honor a foreign driver license for visitors to the United States for at least one year from the date of arrival. This privilege is made possible as a result of the United Nations Convention on Road Traffic (Geneva, 1949), and the Convention on the Regulation of American Automotive Traffic (Washington, 1943), both of which have been ratified by the United States."

Which means she should probably be good for a few months. She still needs to go through the usual rigmarole (vision, written, and driving test) in order to receive a valid license.

So she texted me today and canceled, saying how it would be better if she had a female friend help her because her boyfriend was mad that she was getting help from an American guy. What the fuck. I mean, yeah, I would have fucked her given the chance but that's no excuse to tell your girl friend what to do from across the Atlantic.

Or Pacific, for that matter.
Fuck.
