What the fuck happened to /b/?
I took a 2 year break and everything is shit now. Did all the oldfags move on somewhere or did everyone just turn into faggots (or candy-asses since its censored now). Honestly, /b/ used to be ruthless and raw and now its just like a jr. high chat room with a bunch of copypasta from tumblr. I think there is a problem when I don't see TITS OR GTFO anywhere on the first page.

I left /b/ in 2007, jut before it turned to shit. Back then we had wordfilters and mods who would fucking murder anyone attempting any "post ending in" bullshit.

Have you seen it lately? Its pathetic. I think I was introduced to 4chan in 2006 and around 2008 I noticed it started getting gay but now its just sad. Its like if they tore down Disneyland and turned it into a theme park based around Hanna Montana.
Can you not read or something? This thread was started today...

During the years 4chan sure has taken a turn for the worse. How much worse?
4chan used to be a beautiful place where the rejects of society found a sanctuary and rejoiced together, side by side, in a harmony that could only br achieved through the acceptance and understanding of an open mind.
...but as 4chan got recognized and grew popular, regular people moved in. You know, "regular people" as in "those we were trying to get away from in the first place"? ...and they proceeded to take this place apart, piece by piece. (If you are using "faggot" and "GTFO" on a regular basis, and chose to come here because it's a cool place to hang, then yes, I am talking about you.)
Some of us fled to 12chan. Others to 7chan. Still others to Gurochan. Some to even more remote places. We silently scattered throughout the internet and watched how 4chan degenerated into an immature troll popularity contest behind us.
We saw the rise of Anonymous, but not the anonymity that we had grown to cherish and love as a safety blanket against judgement, but a perverted icon of the thing we resented the most: Persecution. Persecution against unpopular and rejected minorities none the less. This once tool of acceptance and prosperity had now been turned into a weapon of hatred and wanton destruction, and terror followed in its wake.
I reckon that the future will be darker still: Once Anonymous has matured into a movement, it will migrate from 4chan to forums from which they can effiently organize and coordinate invasions in order to "change the world" with terrorism. However, as this will be a continuous migration, the connection to 4chan will result in a recruitment ground, where immature brats will learn that it's cool to terrorize minorities simply because these "make them rage", and are given the means to do so.
This is how bad 4chan will inevitably get, and this is just how much fail that the dirty common people amount to when trying to live in the paradise that we rejects once created.

Isn't this what "LulzSec" is?

>ruthless and raw
it never was and probably never will be. it's pretty damn hilarious that so many people actually believed the fairy tales of /b/ being the "internet hate machine" or whatever.
