Who the fuck are "the people"?

We always hear these various groups talk about "the people", but these faggots don't know nor do they represent my interests.

Like the French Revolution, this small clique of "enlightened" intellectuals took advantage of the ignorance of the peasants and deposed the aristocracy and clergy in the name of "the people". These revolutionaries also demanded freedom of speech and freedom of the press yet imprisoned anybody who said anything favorable towards king Louis XVI. Montesquieu, Rousseau, Robespierre, Marat, and Danton are all burning in Hell.

Also the only reason the citizens weren't starving was because so many millions of them had died in the Revolution and the Reign of Terror. It's not because the revolutionaries did anything new in terms of agricultural incentives or taxation. It's because they lowered the population therefore there was more food.
