guy pulls dong w/ nail and throws it off roof

So this guy, he's reroofing this house, right?  And he catches his dong on a nail (it was a hot day, OK?) and he's tugging and tugging and finally it comes off and he just fucking throws it off the roof.

Why would hot weather cause his dong to get caught on anail
