Cartoons are for kids. All people who watch cartoons are basically manchildren. And no, I don't mean south park or family guy, they are obviously meant for an adult audience. Your stupid japanese cartoons for kids are bullshit though.

Now, I haven't seen many Japanese cartoons, but I think you're being a bit judgmental here. Cartoons are big in Japan and while many are just commercial bullshit to entice children to "collect them all" etc, there are also cartoons that are targeted at more adult audiences.

For example Neon Genesis Evangelion. If you look at a scene on Youtube it looks like it's just robots fighting against blobs over and over again. But if you watch the entire show, it's pretty disturbing to see these three children who all seem mentally disturbed being forced to fight by the government. And the "monsters" are some kind of angels who try to liberate their crucified Jesus who is locked in a bunker. I don't remember the details of the ending because it's a long time since I watched it, but I don't think children could appreciate it.

three children.
Why do you think the main characters are children? Because it's aimed at children. QED.

Yeah, violent cartoons such as Elfen Lied are aimed towards children.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-24 17:15

Yeah, just Lotte no Omocha, since the main character is a ten year old female succubus.

I really loved that one. I'm surprised nobody ever references it. Meh.

Fuck off, it's been two years since I saw it.

Elfen Lied sucks anyway, it's all about Gantz now.

It's been two years since i watched anything from it apart from that compilation of tit shots I edited together, and that doesn't have any storyline in it.
Fixt.

During the whole anime I didn't get a single stiffy, dammit. Stop trying to troll me.

Because these children symbolize innocence.

Are you seriously suggesting that the age of the main characters defines the target audience? Was The Exorcist aimed ad first graders according to you?

Whether you got a stiffy or not, we both know you wish you could have.

The main character in the exorcist wasn't the girl, she was more a conduit for the spirit. The priest was the main character there.

Most cartoons are family oriented...

Hence the emphasis on incest.

Since I have no real beliefs anymore, the Exorcist isn't scary.  It's just too ridiculous.  If a kid acts up like that, you get a doctor or at least smack the bitch, not pretend that the devil is in her.

But 10 people died during filming and a fax machine on the set started randomly printing out pages of 666!

Don't change these.
