The case for anonymity

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-08 5:56

I believe that in theory anonymous posting should be possible anywhere. However, in practice anonymity is not always beneficial, and requiring Facebook Connect to comment on news sites, where comment quality has been poor, has repeatedly resulted in an increase in the quality of discussion, as well as making moderation easier.

So, a system permitting anonymity with the ability to selectively disable it for certain “hot” topics is a net benefit.

What do you think ?

You can dance if you want to, you can leave your friends behind, because if your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, they're no friends of mine.

there's this one nail in the hallway that keeps coming back up every couple weeks, and sometimes I'll stub my toe or tear a sock on it.  I tried to knock it back in, but the hammer's a piece of shit and the head keeps coming off
