I was looking for information and was wondering if there is any way to search the internet for specific things, like maybe a website where I could specify certain "key words" and I would be given a list of other web sites that contained those words and such and so on.

what you want is a web crawler, such as Archie.

usenet has lots of nice information on it

I have this friend that knows where a ton of stuff is on the internet, so I usually just ask him, you should find one of those guys.
This "key word searching the entire internet" garbage is just a waste of time.
