The country's vital potato crop suffered 50% losses, bringing this fall's yield down to half a potato.
Aid workers estimate that it will take hours to rebuild the disheveled shacks, as Haitians pick up the pieces of plywood and corrugated metal sheets and lean them against each other as they were before the tremors hit.
